Welcome to our family home. The house has been in our family for several generations and was fully renovated over the last ten years. Our parents put their whole heart into giving it a new life, as a place for gatherings and shared memories. We ask you to treat it with the greatest respect, as you would your own home.
The party hall and the garden are the ideal place to get together as a family. The former garage, converted into a party hall, has a large table for 20 people, a bar, a fridge, a lounge area, a table-football table and air conditioning.
In the garden, games are at your disposal: two football goals and a ball, a croquet set, a volleyball net with badminton rackets and shuttlecocks, tennis balls and hockey sticks. The Ofyr barbecue, with its large plancha for meat and vegetables and its small pizza oven, is the centre of summer evenings.
The dining room's open fire heats the room very well in winter. The house has a large bathroom with shower, a sauna and a laundry room behind the kitchen. A large gravel car park is laid out behind the garden.
The Castus family
Maissin is a village in the commune of Paliseul, in the province of Luxembourg, in the heart of the Belgian Ardennes. The house is in the centre of the village, with the bakery two minutes' walk away and the forest five minutes by car.
Two walks start straight from the house: the Routi walk (about 45 minutes) and the Marie-Thérèse bridge walk (about 1 h 15). The Lesse valley is close by for kayak descents. Nearby: Bouillon and its castle, Redu the book village, Saint-Hubert, the caves of Han and Durbuy.
Getting there: a few minutes from the E411 motorway. About 1 h 45 from Brussels, 1 h 30 from Liège and 1 h 15 from Luxembourg city.
Brussels 1 h 45 · Liège 1 h 30 · Luxembourg 1 h 15 · Libramont station 20 min
